Shishu Kit Project

As part of our commitment to empowering trained women, the Baroda Citizens Council (BCC) has successfully linked these trained women to the market through the Shishu Kit initiative. These kits, designed specifically for newborns, are now being supplied to major government hospitals at no cost.

Each Shishu Kit contains essential items for newborn care, including:
  • 2 Pairs of jhabla with soft cotton cloth and Caps
  • 1 Pair of baby mittens
  • 1 Baby wrap towel
  • 1 Plastic wrap sheet
  • 1 Shishu kit bag
  • 1 Gown
IMPACT SO FAR: 100+ direct beneficiary

This initiative not only provides crucial support for newborns and their families but also creates sustainable employment opportunities for the trained women involved in the production of these kits. We are grateful for the generous sponsorship from United Way of Baroda, which has made this project possible. Through this collaboration, we are fostering community well- being while promoting economic independence for women.
