Project Annapurna

Project Annapurna is a livelihood development initiative of Baroda Citizens Council aimed at empowering underprivileged women from the Karakhadi region. With support from Neogen Chemicals Ltd., the project provides structured training in traditional thepla making and small-scale food entrepreneurship. Through a combination of culinary training, hygiene education, and basic business skills, the program enables women to create sustainable income opportunities and enhance the wellbeing of their families.

What We Do
Skill Development Training

Training in traditional thepla preparation, hygiene practices, and efficient production techniques.

Entrepreneurship Promotion

Support and mentoring for women to start home-based or group-led micro food enterprises.

Food Safety & Digital Awareness

Orientation on FSSAI guidelines, customer service, and responsible use of digital/social media platforms.

Health & Wellness Awareness

Sessions on food safety, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.

Market Linkages

Connections to corporate orders, tiffin services, exhibitions, canteens, catering services, and online sales avenues.
